HOME SCHOOLED EP 143 - Yellow Belt

Home Schooling

Home schooling (homeschooling) is the practice of educating school-aged children at home primarily by parents or guardians rather than in a traditional public or private school. It's a growing educational movement practiced in all 50 U.S. states and many countries worldwide.

You can actually check the papers and worksheets in the presence of your child and actually let him know how he did in the exam. What is good with this kind of program is the fact that any problems in the lesson can be easily detected and solved. Lessons will not pile up one after the other. One can actually master one lesson before proceeding to another.

Contrary to popular opinion, home schooling is not merely limited to primary and lower grade class students. In fact, there are even home courses available for upcoming college students. Whatever age your child is, there are several home schooling resources available that will be able to fill up your needs.

Home education can be just as effective and efficient as having your children taught in traditional institutions. Home schooling just carries a big advantage over these educational institutions in the sense that this method can make parents and their kids find time together. If you are looking forward to getting closer with your own kids and more active when it comes to their schooling, then home education for your kids should be considered.

Home Study Program (HSP) and Charter Schools of California - Parents have the option to enroll their child to the nearest public school for a home-based study program, where the school will assign a teacher who will facilitate and check the student's home-schooling on a monthly basis. The tutorial program sessions are under the parent's responsibility at home.

With homeschooling, students enjoy greater freedom, flexibility and dynamism. Still, there are some that do not feel that the homeschooling program is for everyone. Some believe that not all children can benefit from the program and that specific groups of children are the only ones who can get the most out of homeschool.

A good reading program for homeschool is crucial in developing your child s mental ability and school performance. The flexibility in schedule and flow that homeschools offer provide a lot of benefits for children. Compared to the traditional setting, a homeschool program can tailor-fit the lessons according to the abilities and knowledge of the child.
